Modern Media Console

Today marked the beginning of a new project. A trip to the lumber yard is always an exciting experience. I picked up an 8/4 board of Mahogany, one 8/4 and a few 4/4 boards of Curly Maple. I’ll be turning this beautiful lumber in to a modern media console that will house a record player and amplifier along with room for some storage. The case will be curly maple sitting on top of a mahogany base. It will feature a book matched, mitered dovetailed case to showcase the maple’s curl. I’m excited to get started on this one.
