Crafting a Stunning Magic The Gathering Table

I’m so proud to share this gorgeous, custom game table for the card game Magic. My client bought the materials and began some design on this table 6 years ago. We worked together to pickup where he left off using the previously purchased materials. I took the original pentagonal design and elevated it by blending the circular forms inside of the pentagon. Cherry accented with walnut and colored epoxy provide a striking design on the top. A pentagonal base houses the shaped legs that feature a softened edge profile, once again blending angles and curves. The card game has a medieval feel/theme, and I designed the base to resemble Stonehenge to give it a primitive form.

This piece is finished with a modern hard wax oil buffed to a satin gloss to accentuate the colored epoxy inlays.

I can’t think of another piece that epitomizes my mission more. Every element of this table exudes quality and craftsmanship, and the custom nature of the design fulfills my mission of creating one of kind heirlooms. This father plans to spend time with his kids/family at this table playing the game they all love. What a story!
