Things are really shaping up! I was able to glue in the shelf and back, and applied final coats of finish to each. With these parts complete, I was able to move on to the frame and panel doors. The case is coming along nicely. I’ve completed the dovetails and fit the mitered ends. I used a whats referred to as a ramp block to make the mitered corners perfect. I’ve begun breaking down the lumber into the rough parts. The biggest challenge so far has been resawing the big, heavy 8/4 maple board which will be used for the case.
